Privacy Policy (UK)
Last updated 11 September 2026
This policy applies to TechQilo's UK clients and visitors. It explains what personal information we collect through techqilo.com, why we collect it, and how we handle it under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we are
For UK clients, TechQilo is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. Contact details are at the bottom of this page.
Information we collect
- Information you give us. When you submit our contact form we collect your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number (optional) and the message you write. When you book a call we collect the name, email and time slot you provide.
- Payment information. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. Card details are entered on that processor's own secure checkout. We never see, receive or store your full card number, CVV or PIN.
- Technical information. Our host records standard request data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, which is used for security and to keep the site running.
Our lawful basis for processing
- Contract. To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and deliver the services you engage us for.
- Legitimate interests. To keep the website secure, prevent abuse, and improve how it works.
- Legal obligation. To keep the invoicing and accounting records UK law requires.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.
Services that process data for us
- Formspree delivers our contact form submissions to our inbox.
- Calendly handles booking of strategy calls.
- Our payment processor processes payments and handles card data.
- Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website.
These providers only handle your data to perform their service for us. Some of these providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, they provide appropriate safeguards (such as the UK's International Data Transfer Addendum or an adequacy decision) as required by UK GDPR. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to.
Cookies
This site uses minimal cookies and similar technologies, mainly through the third-party services listed above (for example the booking widget). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some features such as call booking may then not work.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while we are in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Records relating to paid work are kept as long as needed for accounting and legal purposes under UK law. You can ask us to delete your data at any time, subject to what we are required to keep by law.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, restrict or object to certain processing, and request your data in a portable format. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK's supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), if you think we have not handled your data correctly.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS and we apply reasonable safeguards to the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our services are aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy. Any changes appear on this page with a revised date at the top.
